HI all. I know this is an old thread. But Ive had the exact same prob with mine. It seemed to be ok after I replaced the TX batteries. But its done it again. Three times straight after one another.
Has moving the antenas done the job? Or are you still getting the same probs. Its been putting me off of flying it for a while. I didnt want to break it lol.

hi lou, well i thought moving the antenna's outside the frame had solved the problem, had 3 or 4 probem free flite's but it did it agen, was trying a nose in hover and lost reception to the heli and it justs dropped out the sky ,needed new blades,a new servo, servo harm and cracked the canopy just need to fix it up and go agen

good luck with it,if you have any luck getting to the bottom of it let me know, same go's here when i get time fix it

HI. sorry to hear about your misshap.
I have just been looking through the site and it seams someone else has the same prob.
Someone said the pinion gear could be slipping. You might need to make a notch in the main shaft, to stop it from slipping.
I wonder how many other people have the same probs. I think Align should address this issue, if it seems to be a common fault.
Lucky for me I am only hovering ant 3 or 4ft from the groung, so no damage yet.

you could be right lou,i checked the pinion on mine and its slipped down the shaft towards the motor, think ill get me dremal out on the shaft and flatten one side of the shaft before i rebiuld, worth a try pal

just a quick update, spoke to Raj at ALIGN and he thinks it could be the a faulty speed control,he's not 100% but thats were we will start,so he's sending one out for me to try.
if it dont fix it its a power problem, ill try this new speed controler first see how it works out
big thanks to Raj at ALIGN-TREX.co.uk allways willing to help, spot on

Hi oddsock. where did you get the model from?
I was also told it could be the speed controller. But how do you test it?
Mine did it yesterday, but today I used 2 batterys and it was ok.

hi lou,got mine from ALIGN-TREX.co.uk ,iv had time's when theres been no problems with mine, then the next time the problem pops up again?i took both sets of blades off mine to test it powered the heli up and when the motor stopped(the problem) the AILERON stopped working at the same time?

as to testing the speed control iv not a clue pal, someone on here may be able to help you with that ,i'm just going to replace the speed control with the new one thats on its way and hope it sorts the problem, raj at ALIGN is not 100% it is the problem but its somewhere to start and the parts are FOC so its worth a go,i need to get this 450 flyin right dont want it as a ornament need to progress with it without worry its goin to end bad

ill keep you informed how it go's anyway
try gettin in touch with who you got it off lou they may help you with the parts, thats if you got from new, worth a try

Well put the new ESC on the 450plus today, had to do a couple of mods to the battery tray to make it fit the wires on the new ESC was slightly shorter than the original, but got it to fit good in the endalso had some soldering to do,not done that for years but chuffed with it at the end
The new ESC was slightly different,it has a metal ring and the wire raps around the metal ring that plugs into the throttle on the 3gx, part number on the new ESC, RCE-BL35X the old one part number is RCE-BL35P which has no metal ring, could this be the problem???

tryed two battery's with both sets of blades off the heli and no problems so far,but iv been here before so ill try it a few more times first and report back

                              fingers crossed

edit, again can not thank raj at align enough, sent the part out yesterday was here first thing this morn, crackin company to deal with spot on
