I (like many others,I believe) have taken up this hobby as a result of an unexpected Xmas toy. Rc aircraft had been in the back of my mind for quite some time, the toy, together with having retired, pushed me in the direction of helis.
Having read extensively on this forum and other areas I see the general consensus is that a decent sim is a must.
I have been offered an Aerofly system at a decent price but see little or no mention of it on this site whereas Phoenix is sort of raved over. The Aerofly is quite a bit more expensive than the Phoenix equivalent. Which should I go for and for what reasons?
Whilst browsing in a local model shop (with cards and cheque book left at home!!) the owner suggested that a dedicated sim TX was better as it was designed for long hours of use where the "flying ones" were designed for shorter periods of use. Once again any comments.

I had Aerofly prior to Phoenix....

and of course if you follow advice on this forum and get yourself a cx2 you will have your "sim tx" to use afterwards!!
