  • Newbie problems setting up DX6I

    Hi everybody,
This is my first post on here, but have been lurking in the background for some time trying to figure things out for myself and reading posts that are helping me in my struggles.
My query is this......when setting up the thro curves and pitch curves, I set the values as described, eg 0%, 20%, 40% etc for postion 1 to 5, (Got that part)
Then I have to put the HOLD to 0. If the first point says that the pos L=0%, 2=25%, 3=50%, 4=75% and 5=100%.........Do I then have to click and set the position back to L so that the HOLD is back to 0%, or do I set the position to H.......THEN go to HOLD and return all the way back down to 0%?
So I suppose the shorter question would be.............Should the Norm show L for 0% or should it be set to H with 100% on HOLD..............I hope that my query makes sense to somebody.
After all my teething probs I eventually hunt down most of the answers, and it's always nice to know that there has always been somebody else with the same probs before me at least.

Hold is the throttle curve that will take effect when you hit the throttle hold switch, far back right, on the transmitter. It is used when you get in trouble, and it is important that all 5 points on the curve are set to 0%, so that whatever you do with the throttle stick from that point on you will have no power going to the blades. This is generally only used just before an inevitable crash, and helps minimise damage to the model, and anything it hits!

From memories: In throttle curve menu you click on the mode what you want to set (hold in this case) then choose the stick position with the wheel (not with the stick) click on that too then set it to the desired value (in this case "0" at all stick position) then click again to save the value and exit back to the mode menu again.

          Hope that helps.

Ok... thanks guys. I think that its all sorted. HOLD reads 0 all the way through.
As I am looking at the thro curve screen now, NORM says POS L with HOLD at 0........... POS 2 @25,........ POS 3@50......... POS 4@75......and H@ 100. My question is this.....Do it matter then if I leave at POS H with 100 at the HOLD or should I move the POS to L again so the HOLD is back at 0.
If I leave POS at H, then scroll down to HOLD it reads 0 all along the board which shud be the correct settings right.
I am just unsure and want to clarify if it makes any difference to which point POS is left at eg L, 2, 3, 4 or H.
Sorry for the stupid Questions but I dont want to crash for lack of asking stupid questions. LOL
