  • Reccomended 4CH Chinook

OK, I'm new to this. I was bought a Syma S107 for christmas & I'm hooked. I managed to get its total weight down from 39.8g to 37.1g by cutting away much of the metal framework and although it now flies better, I want more.

I have flown and like the Syma S800g 4ch but I also want a radio controlled (not I.R.) tandem (Chinook or other type, I don't care) & have been looking at the Twister Skylift (available from a couple of places), and the Esky 2.4G Chinook (not yet found a UK seller).

In the opinion of those more experienced than I am, what would be a suitable FOUR channel tandem helicopter and where in the UK can such a thing be bought?

    Hello,

Do you want to get into propper flying or just mess around flying around the house?
As a chinook coaxial would really not teach you as much as a MSR would!
If you do want a 4ch Chinook a blade MCX chinook then Monarchmodels.co.uk , give him a call and say Liam sent you! I'm sure he has one on the shelf!

If you're seriously interested in flying helis - don't buy Syma's or Double Horse, as they're both toys really. Super-stable, and great for flying around the house, but that's about it. You say you want more - well "more" means moving away from co-axial generally speaking.

Take a look at the "Blade" line of products - especially the beginner helis like the mSRX, 120SR etc. (Blade - #1 By Design)

Also take a look at : RC Helicopters, The Most Fun And Rewarding Of All RC Hobbies.

Thanks Liam & Tom, I do really like the look of the Blade MSR X & I appreciate the heads up about Blade doing a Chinook. One of them will be going on my birthday list for next month.

        I appreciate the advice.

Just a little more info, E-Flite EFLH2500 mCX Tandem . I'm pretty sure its been discontinued like the MCX. Although parts would be available, just any new for sale is old stock.

Yes, Mayoor mentioned that when I bought it, but for now I wanted a Chinook. If I keep enjoying this helicopter lark and want more then I might go for an msr x. I think by then I'll be ready for a flybarless model, but I seem to think I heard somewhere that the msr x is discontinued even though it was introduced after the msr (not sure if that is right or not though).
