Power issues Twister & Esky

Hi everyone,
im really begining to dispair now. I have got a twister hawk and esky co-comanche. I cant get a flight time of more than five minutes on either, what happens is the heli flies normally on a fully charged battery for 5 mins, then the reciever light changes red and i lose 60% of the power which is only enough to hover about 2 inches of the ground. I can do this for a further 5 mins until power is nearly drained. The hawk has had two new motors, a new 4 in 1 reciever, a new battery. The comanche has had a new 4 in 1 reciever and battery. There is no change in either! I cant find anything else to repair or change. The batteries in the TX are fully charged. Green lights on both transmitters. Ive spent a fortune trying to cure this problem but to no avail. 5 mins flight is the best i can get.

Sorry to hear that you are still having problems. Just a thought, but have you tried a different charger? It almost sounds like one of the cells of the battery isn't charging. Try to borrow a different one just to make sure.

sorry to hear it mate, it sucks, and they aren't cheap things either. I'm fast beginning to realise why people have 2 or three of these things.

Can anybody tell me where i can get a 2 cell lipo that will work in these helis (Twister hawk & esky comanche) that is more powerful to give longer flight times? I know there are some out there, also does anybody know where i can get them?

Is an 850Mah 2 cell 7.4 volt li-po. It also has a higher discharge rate. I've not used it myself so I can't comment other than suggesting the link. I've ordered a couple of items from this site and have had good service.

Hi,
I had the same problem with my sky Hawk, replaced the motors with Lama Xtreme Ball Bearing motors, problem sorted back to 10 minutes flying much better motors than the originals, you can change the brushes as well & they were only about £2 more than the original rubbish motors.
I got my motors from the Heliguy.

I think the problem was the battery had not been cycled enough as it is performing well now.
