  • Sub-Micro Question.

    Hi All

Once I have got the hang of my co-co 4ch I would like to get a smaller 4ch heli for flying about in our fairly cramped house. I had been looking at the Buzz Fly but understand it is a rebranded Walkera. Having read some bad reviews about Walkera products in the past, this has put me off a bit.

So, over to you; What would you recommend in this size of electric helicopter? I realise a smaller model will be more of a handful to fly and the lack of a fly-bar will mean it wont settle back into stable flight simply by releasing the right stick. I'm looking for a tiny 4ch at around the £100 - £120 price range. I hope you can help!

    Cheers

can you fly already? it does have a flybar but not being a contra rotating like the CX2 its not as stable and has to be flown. a bit like balancing a ball bearing on a tray.

i like my buzzfly but its certainly not a good model to learn to fly on.

I was thinking almost exactly this.

I'm just starting out, and the co-axials seem great so far for hovering and stuff; but compared to how the HoneyBee CP handles on FMS, the co-axials seem really restrained.

The idea of something small and nimble enough to 'chuck about' a bit in a fair sized room really apealls (when I'm ready...) And hopefully cheap to crash & fix.

Unfortunately, the BuzzFly uses different batteries and balancer [3.6V] to the LamaV4 & Co-Co.

I am looking for a sub-micro to move up to once I am 100% confident with my ESky Lama V3. The Buzz Fly looks like just the thing I am looking for but am looking for feedback and other options

Glad to hear you like your Buzz Fly

        Cheers

I have the Walkera version and it is indeed good fun but you need to be pretty proficient before taking one on. They are skittish and extremely small

If you get one, bear in mind BuzzFlyer's version is 2 times the price of the Walkera version from FlyingHobby...

Cheers for that info - Didn't realise the price tag was that much different!!! I know the BuzzFlyers version comes with an upgraded battery, but that hardly warrents a doubling of the price.

I'm looking for my birthday present so I have until May to reach the required standard as I can imagine the lill fellas need a pair fo quick thumbs at the controls.
