  • Twister Hawk

    Hi every one,
I have a issue that im really scratching my head on,
from a fully charged battery i get 100% power for only 5 minutes, after that the red reciever light comes on and my hawk loses about 60% of power and will only let me hover at very low ground level, i have had the battery changed and it still does exactly the same thing. This rules the battery out. Does anybody know what the issue is? My other helis give me at least 10 mins flight time before the red reciever light comes on which indicates to me the battery is nearly spent, not so with the hawk. I should get at least 10 mins. Id really appreciate any input.

Also i have a blade cx2, this takes a 2-cell lipo 7.4v 800mah, exactly the same as the twister hawk battery, do you think i could use the battery that came with the cx2 on the twister hawk?

    Thanks guys,

I've had a similar problem with my twister medevac. I've been able to try my 2 stock perkins lipo packs in another heli (an E-sky Robins) and they're fine there. I also fitted some new motors in the medevac (just under a tenner each I think), and that didn't solve it either.

From reading on another forum it seems that a few other users have had this, and it's basically down to a knackered 4in1 unit. Bit of a pain as they're about 35 quid a go (for mede ones, not sure if new ones with MOPS etc are more?).

You might want to try the motors first, which has worked for some, if not it's the board.

I'm just keeping watch on ebay in case a bashed up fuselage with a good 4in1 comes along, but I'm lucky enough to have other things to fly in the meantime.

    Hope that helps

    Andy

Interesting, do you think that the battery charger is not charging correctly?
