I think he was just using it as an example. But for those helis you need a Spektrum compatible transmitter.

a dx4, dx5 or dx6 will all work mate. Completely upto you. Why not grab this 4 off me, and save up to get the 6 in a month or so?? By which time u may have out grown your helis and want something bigger??

Thing is Kev I haven't got anything I can't fly ATM but plan on getting an MSRx and maybe an MCx bnf to add to my fleet. The 120 sr I bought is RTF. I need to learn how to programme a TX which is why I (think) I need a DX6i don't I?

A DX6i used for a DSMX Version will take you back about £65 - 70.
Or double that and get a DX7s, much nicer!

The dx6i is really entry level, but a very good entry level radio. I wouldn't bother with a dx5 or lower tbh.

Thanks Tom... by the way my Kings Lynn order was cancelled because of red tape, decided to go second hand for my 'learning' birds and tx, got a 120 SR unflown RTF without a battery for £40 on ebay, ordered some batteries - sorted. Just need to bag myself a used DX6i now for a decent price.
