I've been thinking, (always a bad sign
) but for training and learning to fly a real heli, having a third party device that attached itself to the heli body has 4 legs bracing out in N,S,E,W positions then having a lightweight tubed carbon ring that orbits the rotas so when landing on the **** the rotas have a chance to just slow down to a stop, instead of busting everything connected to them as in a normal crash.
The outer ring being designed in a way that it doesn't restrict normal flight, but saves them while nerves play more part in flying then actual skill.
I'm sure this has been thought of before, but is there any reason why an idea like this hasn't been put into practice before now, as any manufacture would be on the gravy train for life if this worked.
