Hi
First off i'd like to thank everyone for the good advice and help iv'e had even with dumb questions, i thought i'd give anyone
starting out the route iv'e gone, i got an mcx2 just after xmas using a dx6i i use to fly my fixed wing aircraft, after a few flights
i realised it was to easy, so i brought a msr, more dificult to fly and i found more of a chalenge after 30 or so flights the main board
blew so i have sent it back to horizon hobbies for repair, on thursday i picked up a nano cpx, mainly becouse it uses the same Turnigy
160mah batteries, after a few trys ive just managed 2 hovers of 4 mins each, without any problems, this heli is a real handfull for a beginner like me
i dont have much idea how to program a dx6i for heli's so i went with the manual's settings, but i did have to reduce the dual rates from 85% to 65%
and the expo from 30% to 20% before i could keep it well under control, i use an eliysium pro charger and using a paralel charging board i can charge
6 batteries in half an hour, with a bit more practice i will try nose in and left and right hovering, my computers graphic card is crap and i dont know
if it will run a pheonix sim, so for me indoor heli's are the best way to learn, they can take a fair bit of abuse the parts are cheap and the batteries
cost £2.50 each, i think when i gets warmer i'll get a blade 450d and try to bum some lessons from the heli flyers at my club, thanks again for the
help and hope this may be of some use to somone starting out
