  • Lesson learnt!

    Not to get carried away!

my first proper indoor heli arrived yesterday so I can increase my rate of learning. Mcpx BL. Flight ( or should I say hover!) one two and three went well. Anyway the wife comes in, now confident so flight four here we go. Just got into the hover and start to lose it and it shoots off to one side. I managed to hit throttle hold but it still made a mess of the leather sofa in the lounge where it hit! Anyway, on investigation one of the servo leads had come unplugged! Lesson learnt, even on the small heli's make sure you do your pre flight checks!

Now cost me a dinner on valentines day for the marks on the sofa!

The number of times I've had to remove scuff marks off the TV, sofa, other furniture.....thank god I've never been tempted to try the 500 in the living room!!!

We live and learn mate, we've all made mistakes that we learn from, the amount of times I've put the blade upside down on my 450 is ridiculous!

Cheers all, always believed if you don't make mistakes once in a while your probably not pushing yourself hard enough. Just wish I had realised how addictive and expensive this hobby can be a couple of months ago!

Better get used to those marks as I'd hazard a guess that you'll be sleeping there for a while
