  • First flight - It's nearly time

Well i built my T-Rex 450se v2 and now it's time for it's first flight as well as mine with a Heli, so once the weather gets a bit nicer it will go airbourne. I found that the T-Rex kit is a fantastic kit for the beginner, all parts went together no bother and the instructions were spot on. The only little thing i had was getting the gy401 setup correctly and getting my head around the HH and normal mode, this was done by a freind of mine who also had a good look over the Heli and settins on my Trani just to make sure all was well. So just need a nice fine day, which i hope will not be to long as it is killing me just looking at it and not flying it.

      Welcome to the forums matey.

I hope you have spent some time on a Simulator before you raise the 450 in the air or it wont be looking pretty very long..

Good luck and let us know how you get on..

Good luck matey. Was scary as hell when I first flew my 450 SE V2. Don't forget to set the timer before takeoff ! Happy landings and all that.

PS Hope you have a sim as well !

Thanks all , Have been given the Simulator some bashing for the last few months, wanted to see if i could fly the thing first in a Sim before committing myself to the real thing, and guess what i really enjoyed flying the Heli. I have been flying fixed wing ( Turbine jets, sport models and the like ) for over 10 years now so the next progression is into Heli's, can't wait -when is this weather going to change - .

And to think, I only started with helis because I wanted one to fly indoors.... And planks just wouldn't cut the mustard from that POV
