  • the time has arrived

    hi guys,

been flying the CX2 for awhile and spent many hours on pheonix sim flying other heli's, i think the time has arrived to look for something bigger that can handle a bit of outdoor fun. I have a £300 budget so im looking at getting a blade 400, is this the best heli for my money?

    thanks

Definately if you want to fly electric only? And better than the esky stuff which is also in your budget. One thing i will advise on is to stay away from Century products lol.

if you shop around you can get it slightly cheaper. but pound for pound i think its bloody good and of course you get the dx6i radio to go with it!

      good price i think

go for the blade, for less than 300 quid you can't get better.

                      Spacy

You might want to think about using the radio features to tone things down a bit for the first few flights too. I found it a bit twitchy on the stock settings. I'm now at 80% rates on the right stick controls and have 30% expo on those and 10% on rudder - now I'm more able to keep my fingers in tune with my brain and the heli!

It sure is a good flier for a novice coming off a CX2 and crash free to date. Hey Boggy, a stupid question for ya. Im trying to get my pic onto my profile, its the one on my siganture, but it keeps saying it fails, its the right size and format ???

Spacy just remember who told ya about this first mate
You'll be glad you didnt go the ESky route (ducked when i said that as theres becoming a small following for ESky in here).
Take ya time and enjoy it mate.

dont worry i will, the heli keeps looking at me wanting to go somewhere hehe, only gripe i have so far is the how tight the canopy is with the battery in there

i wouldnt woory 2 much about that as long as it aint touching any of the moving parts/mechanics. Get the training gear before you even attempt to fly it.
