  • Thanks!

I just wanted to say Hi, and a big thanks for all the great info that I've found on this site. I've been lurking for a while, trying to find out what was a good beginner's setup, and all the information I could possibly need was available here. So thanks to the experts for spending the time patiently helping, and cheers to my fellow beginners for asking all the right questions.

Oh, and I went with the CX2 and Phoenix recommendation. Wouldn't have done that without the RCHeliAddicts!

Enjoy it Adam, it's a real buzz when your first starting out even if a little frustrating and daunting

Light travels faster than sound, this is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak....

Enjoy yourself, Phoenix is a real blast, but wait till first time you fly your blade, it's quite a feeling when you see it hovering there.

I flew my CX2 for the first time last night and, whilst it was nerve-wracking, it was awesome. I've just about scraped the smile off my face. I had thought originally that I would just get the CX2 for now, but after last night's short flight I realised that just practicing on the CX2 would make learning very slow (the learning curve seems very steep at the moment), so I ordered Phoenix this morning.

Yeah, a mate of mine got his Co-Comanche today, he flew it and straight away split a blade. Ouch. Told him, you should spend time on the sim before you fly the real thing.

You'll love Pheonix, it's one of the best things I've ever bought on my PC, not only because of the practice either, but the fun you can have doing so.

            Couldnt agree more.

As mentioned you have made the very best decision with your choice, The learning curve is slow and for quite some time you will feel you arnt getting any better then it just clicks and you are on your way to the next step..

Well done Adam, its good you have researched it a bit and your choices are brilliant, the hobby can be frustrating but buying the right products can make all the difference..

reading the forums you will find a wide range of views on many products and models but a pattern soon emerges as to what most agree on and these are probably the safest bet.

Phoenix and the CX2 are just about the best of what they are both intended for
