After loving my nano cpx after a few weeks I was thinking about which heli to get for outdoor. I'm going to put cash aside while I get competent on the nano. I was looking at the blade 400x or is it 450x ( the flybarless one) and having a dx7s to go with it. Any comments or advice? Cheers.

450x will suit you absolutely fine imo

TBF any of the decent make 450's will be fine Blade, Align, Youngblood etc
Some say my left nipple is the shape of a Raptor canopy.......... And that for fun I chase sheep in wellies 3 sizes too big. All I know is I am 3D Clod

My first 450 heli after the MCPX was the Blade 450X. IMO it is an excellent way to get into flying bigger helis. It comes ready built, which for a beginner like myself that was a big help, and it flies very much like the 130X. In fact it is a bit easier IMO as it is less skittish.

Cheap to repair and lots of spares around so what is there not to like.

OK, you don't get the building experience, which I am loving as I am about to maiden my first kit a Trex 450 Pro DFC, but it was the 450X that gave me the confidence to build the Trex. Of course, building from a kit you learn a lot more about how it is put together and how to repair it but don't worry... after the first crash or two you'll know that well enough
