    I wouldn't waste your money.

If there were 3D capable helis out there that came with transmitters for £65 quid we'd be buying them like hot cakes!!

Even if it was any good where are you going to get spares from? Extra lipos?

You're basic entry level price is at least £100 quid, that'll get you a 2nd hand sim and DX6i.

Do yourself a favour and get one of these if you are looking for something small and 3D capable to learn on. More than 90% of the parts are directly interchangeable with those from a Blade mCPx and and Hisky 100, and to boot the prices for parts are way less than the Blade parts. You can buy the complete heli or ANY and ALL parts from Banggood.com or from Miracle-mart.com. v922 - Buy Discount v922 From Banggood and WL Toys V922 2.4G 6ch RTF 3D mini Helicopter - Red (Free Ship) [WL-V922R] - US$95.50 : Miracle Mart, RC Helicopters RC Cars RC Planes Parts for Cars Parts for Helicopters Accessory Xtreme Production . I bought of these as well as the a v911 which is FP, and so totally crash proof. For the price I doubt you will get better value for money in the micro CP range.

It'll be a waste of money. Two things you really need to consider in this hobby :

1/. You WILL crash. As a beginner, more so.
2/. You will therefore need access to cheap parts in ready supply.

That is why most people in the market (in the UK at least) for an entry level helicopter choose Blade (Horizon Hobby) helis. And why people avoid Walkera, or any of these other odd brands out of China.

If you want a good intro into collective pitch helicopters, take a good look at the Blade mCPX, Blade 130X or Blade 450-3D/450X. Team any of these with a DX6i and you'll be in a much better place.

I guarantee you, if you buy something cheap like this now. It'll be broken next week. Grounded for 2 weeks whilst you try to find parts on ebay, shipped from China. In two months it'll be in the bin. It is almost the perfect definition of a FALSE ECONOMY!

Take a look at this site : RC Helicopter Reviews

Also, I see you're in Swindon. You might want to take a trip down to QuickUK in Pewsey, Wiltshire. Budd there has a shop (a proper RC heli shop, not a general hobby store). There you can take a look at some of these helis "in the flesh" so to speak, and get some good advice about where to spend your money. Quick UK Retail - Home

The thing is, in the UK, Horizon Hobby have a proper distribution arm and many, many resellers. Parts are readily available and therefore pretty cheap.

All these other "cheap" helis are almost impossible to source parts for in the UK. Also, the supplied transmitters are not compatible with any larger helis. So when you upgrade to 450 or bigger, you'll need to buy yourself a decent TX anyway.

          Buy cheap, buy twice ...

I am really enjoying my little V922. Reading all the gazillion threads on three different internet forums dedicated to rc helis, I am and now happy that I did not buy the mCPx, which is just a more expensive version of this WL Toys heli. 99% of the parts are interchangeable, priced way better and if one wishes to go for the better quality aftermarket kit such as the MH hit etc, then just get the mCPx kits, they all work on this bird. But my next heli will be the blade 130x, I know it has it's own set of quirks and I am prepared for that. Unless WLToys brings out their own version, which if they do, and they make it with the quality of their v911 and v922, will no doubt be a best seller. LOL

I received my Hisky HT8 RF module, hooked it up to my Spektrum DX 7, changed the throttle direction and bingo, my v922 now flies perfectly with my own custom TX settings. Next time Banggood offers a BNF version I am definately buying another one.
