Hi Chris, Welcome to the forum.

Which version of the Heli do you have? There have been a couple and they're all slightly different.
Need to know if its using an all in one (4 in 1) controller under the canopy? What frequency it's on? 35Mhz or 2.4Ghz?
If you've stalled the motors on a previous crash etc?
More info you can give the better. Maybe post a picture of the Heli?

      Hi Nick,
No major crashes just a couple of bouncers!!! but nothing broken, its a 4 in 1 controller using 35MHz. when flying every now and again the tail would twitch. using the correct start up procedure i connect the battery on the Heli and the servos start twitching the motors start up erratically with no control from the hand set!!!

Have you got your ariel extended. ( no matter how close you are its esential) . Is the reciever ariel unwound? Run it up and down the tail boom.

Next thing to check is Transmitter antenna, make sure it's screwed in tightly, and also fully extended.
In the 4 in 1 there will be a frequency crystal make sure that's plugged in snuggly and not loose (had a couple fall out in flight at my indoor club) best way is to remove it, check the pins push them apart slightly and carefully replace it in the 4 in 1.
also check battery voltages, Heli and transmitter and all cables etc are plugged in and not loose.

Sorry if I'm going over simple things, but usually the problem is just something that's easily overlooked.
The 4 in 1 were always a bit "fragile" so it could be something inside that's causing it. I'll dig my heli out see if I have any spares etc still.

Done all my checks found nothing obvious but it I did try something different, I connected the battery to the heli first and nothing happened 4in1 controller flashing green and red as It should, turn on hand set and that's when it goes a bit haywire!!!

Okay, but you should really turn the transmitter on first.
I think (it's a while since I've flown one) that the 4 in 1 maybe faulty then.

The easiest thing to check would be the battery voltages. Both in the tx and the rx. Other than that you need to prove each unit. That can probably be done where you bought it or by someone local with a working Twister. Connectors could have worked loose. How long have you had it? You could have a look at the crystals in the rx and tx and take them out clean them and put them back in.
