  • Pcm 9 X Hell ? Help

HI GUYS I HAVE A JR PCM 9 X & I DONT NO HOW TO SET IT UP , IM HOPEING TO DO SOME FLYING ON THE SIM FIRST ON MINI TITON .SO HADE A GO AT PROGRAMING ECT BUT NOW ITS ALL WRONG , STILL BUILDING MINI T. SO HOPEFULLY SOMEONE CAN HELP CHEERS

I would have to say your first port of call is the user manual. The tx has so many features it would be impossible here imo to explain how to program it. Read the manual thoroughly then have ago at something simple and then come back with a question on something specific.

Try and find someone local to you who can help you. Find a club if you are not already a member of one.

It's possibly a good idea to reset the model memory on the one you're using for the simulator and start again - you can be sure there's nothing funky happening then?

Which sim? I have the pcm 9x II....

I have phoenix sim.. You MUST set the TX to PPM (PCM is default on mine) and also the swash mixing should be 1 servo (i.e no eCCPM)....
Both settings, and to reset a modle memory, you have tot enter the system menu... TO do this hold ENT(button), or press the "scroll wheel", down when you turn the TX on....

Press and hole either the scroll wheel, or the top button on the right of the screen, and switch it on, then have a look through all the system menus after a while fiddling you will start to figure out what they all are.

Press the top left button a couple of time will take you back to the main screen, to access the model set up menus, have a look though there too and do the same.

It's all going to look pretty confusing to start with but trust me, it will all start to make sense.

Finally, if you have a specific question, ask on here.

BTW, you select PPM or SPCM or even ZPCM on the 'MODULAT" option on the system menu (bottom left)

Because knowledge is power and now he knows to look out for the letter pcm and ppm in the menu he will be exploring. The same one I told him how to access?

hence have a better chance of sussing it out...

I'm sorry I tried to help him now! I'll go else where instead!

                  Cheers

No problem mate! Glad I could help a little.....

In the "normal" menu's on your tx, i.e. not the special system one, you will probably want to make any throttle and pitch curves linear...

                      i.e.

                      Low stick 0%
                      Mid stick 50%
                      High stick 100%
The 9x II draws your curve too, it should be a straight 45 degree line from min stick to max stick...

Once you have calibrated your radio in Phoenix sim then fell free to experiment with the curves again... (My curves were already linear by default, but I dunno about the 9x)

Phoenix sim has a pre-setup PCM 9X under the JR radio. So just select that and once you have calibrated you should be pretty much up and running....

                      Cheers

Okay trebor27, point taken. I don't have this tx or manual. I think it would be helpful to explain everything verbatim including page numbers from the manual so the guy can really see what he needs to do. That was my point.

Manual, how many on here read them? I've never opened my Spektrum one and only referred to the 9X manual to prove prove a very obscure feature could be done.
