  • First CP heli recommendations

Any recommendations for a first cp heli. Have been flying my fp heli for around 3 months now and think its time to upgrade to a cp type. I like small helis nothing too big.

Looking around on the buzzflyer website I like the look of the walkers genius cp or the walkers V120D02S
I would like something that has a brushless motor.

Blade nano cpx or blade 130x would be the 2 most popular choices! and for good reason too.
MSH Protos Max V2. Vbar Neo, Cyclone 715, zeal, talon 120
    MSH Protos 500 FBL. VX1e, Zeal 480
Trex 150. In one piece and flying well........for now!!

              First CP heli recommendations

The only warning I would give is that buzz flyer seems to be pretty much the only major supplier of walkera helis in the UK.

If you look at most if the other major stores, they're all blade at this end of the market. Eg

              Fast lad
              Midland helis
              Wheelspin
              Rc hero
              Align-trex
              Etc etc

So spare parts are readily available.

Logo 550SXv2 - Castle 130LV ESC, vBar Neo
              .... and a Gaui X3
              Spektrum DX8 ; Mikado VBC ; RealFlight 7 & neXt sims
              ... and two EGS'

I tried a v120d01 as a learner heli. Nearly put me off the hobby for life. Never have got the POS flying.

Built and hovered a 450 for a year, but after a catastrophic maiden scared myself to death. This last summer progressed from tail in to side on hover.

Santa wife bought me a 130x for christmas, ( I had to get secondhand TX to go with it)... Third full battery did my first proper circuit. Fourth did figure eight. Fifth battery hovered nose in for first time off sim. Shall I go on?

                No brainer for me

Would be looking to get a tx with it, as current tx is only compatible with some of the other helis from buzzflyer

Are there any decent websites to order online ?
or dose anyone know of any model shops near Swindon I could visit

fastlads, midland heli, align-trex are three reputable firms... Plenty plenty more to choose from, but they are like my personal holy trinity. Rc-hero are a new one for me, found to have great service.

Everyone will have their own regulars
