Yes I have indeed stoved it into the floor, my lovely pristine CX2, only a few days old and its bitten the dust a little too hard, I've cracked the main body shell and snapped in half a top rotor blade, no problems with the rotor blade as I got some spares when I bought it, but I wont be replacing the body just yet as there's more crashing to do, so that can wait.

My own silly fault though really, there's not enough room in the house to fly it and if you deviate by a few feet in any direction there's furniture to deal with, If I was more patient I'd wait for a better day to get out with it, but I'm not.

Poor old Cx2 bet it was hoping not to have a To**er like me for its first Pilot.

pick it up blow the dust off ,fit a new blade, selotape the body and fly it again thats only one of many. dont worry about small spaces i fly mine in a lorry cab if i have to!!!it sharpens you up

We've all been there mate, my BCX2 got a right beating until I mastered it, fear not this is the part I called (the learning curve from hell.)

All these crashes will in time make you a better pilot, give it a few weeks more practice (and more crashies) replace the broken body, bling her up a bit and your never have known the hits she took while you learned to fly.

My first attempt at flight left me rather broken-hearted. My dear mother bought my first 3Ch heli for me before Xmas, November I think. So to cut a long story short, we got home that day, and I put the batt on charge over dinner.

Afternoon comes and kitchen is looking mighty small compared to my shiny new Syma Lama. So foolishly I took her outdoors, thinking 'ah it's not too windy, should be okay'.

Famous last words, a few bunny hops and then got ambitious and tried to get her up to around 6 feet or so. Six feet came and went, then 7, 10, 20 40 ... well you get the idea, all this time my precious prezzie is now over my neighbours houses and heading for the front street. At this point I decided it may be safer to cut the power and let her crash, rather than risk much worse.

Heard the bang, very loud and hoped it hadn't hit somebody's car. Then went looking for it. I walked up and down my street in the general direction it had gone for around an hour, almost in tears, I'd only had it 10 minutes and I'd lost it already. Eventually I did find it, the canopy and one skid smashed, the battery out, and one motor no longer worked. And guess what, you can't find spare motors for love nor money. So it got boxed up to wait for Maplin to get more in. When they did the conns had changed completely so my old girl hasn't flown again, she became spares for the new one. I learned a valuable lesson that day though, don't fly in wind, and if you do start to lose control cut the throttle early on, lessons learned.

Sounds like you left the throttle wide open. I have smashed my apache 4ch loads of times. Never broke anything other than the blades and the top clamp.

I fly mine in my front room with ease now. After many a crash and quickly cleaning scratched furniture for fear of a battering from my better half, I have improved immensely. I can now get it to fly through the doorway into the dining room with ease. It's the getting it back thats the hard part!! Nose out, easy as pie. Nose in, a little tricky.

sim time! easy way to prevent the big crashes! i've only had my cx2 for just over a week but with an hour or so a day on phoenix I haven't had a big crash yet, chipped an upper blade but other than that its still shiny new

www.maplin.co.uk though the first one was directly from the shop. To be honest it's no longer worth it, sorry i should have mentioned they were doing it for 49.99 when I got mine, but they've priced it back up to 79.99 now, the exact same price they do the 4ch Apache and Lama choppers for.
