  • V4 LAMA Lift off & going backward!!!

Hi Everyone. I am total new for RC Helicopter.. I buy V4 LAMA, I do the same as manual guide instruction. I lift off heli around half feet but the heli flies to backward..making a happy landing and check out the transmitter setting.. I trying a lot but the heli all time fly backward..Please somebody tell me that what is the perfect setting of transmitter and the lower buttons adjust on normal? If somebody know what is the problem plz give me your good suggestion.
    Thanks.

the heli could be affected by its own down draf , try taking it abit higher and lightly pressing the direction forward , be carefull not to crash if it still goes backwards try weighting the nose

firstly try the trim buttons to the side of each stick. click the righthand one forward a few clicks and try the heli. if you cannot get it hovering with the button all the way forward then you will need to do some adjusting.

whatever you do don't add weight to the nose. you will completley upset the balance of the helli.

if you can't get it right post back and i'll post instructions

Give it some forward cyclic trim. If your flying on mode 2 (throttle/pitch on the left stick) thats the slider going vertical on the right stick. If your flying mode one (throttle on the right stick) it will be the vertical slider on the left stick. Push the slider up a little until the heli levels out and takes off straight.

lol im a n00b so listen to boggy through and through, my apache used to revolve to the right a little all i had to do was use the trim under the throttle and it was fine , try trimming and twiddling for hours , its time consuming but might be successful

Sorry for a noob to chime it, but check your cable is up out of the way, mine goes backwards if the cable is hanging below the skids, as it tips the nose up on the ground then takes a fair bit of nose down to get her straight again. Otherwise listen to the guys with far more experience.

Hi Apachepilot, how did your AH64 get stolen mate? That must have choked.

Hi again. I did follow instruction of Boggy and Made2Fade. Trim side buttons 3 or 4 clicks. Lift off heli around 2 feet high and watching what's the heli doing? This time I feel good improvement but need more clicks. I land heli too much carefully and add 2 more clicks, again I lift off. This time I really appreciate and much satisfied. I fly my heli around 13 minutes without any confusion and much enjoying but I feel the controlling of helicopter is too much sensitive. Here I need more guidance of seniors about sensitivity and continuous fly?? Please give me advice...I already grateful all of you. Thanks again.

im not sure about the lama radio but im pretty sure there is nothing you can do to reduce sensitivity, you just have to get used to it im afraid!!!

I'm pretty new to all this - so excuse my presumption...

I had the same thing happen with my LamaV4, when I hadn't got the battery installed properly (or maybe I'd 'landed' heavily and unseated it...).

The battery should be up against the front stop in the battery holder, and the velcro on the battery should engage with the velcro on that front stop.

If it doesn't, the battery can slide backwards; making the helicopter tail-heavy, and tend to fly backwards. Which sounds like what you're seeing.

Spare batteries might be supplied without velcro. You need the velcro.
