  • rc helicopter club in Bristol ?

I've been playing helis for about 6 months and I am looking for rc heli group in Bristol. I need to improve my skills in flying as well as knowledge about them. Anyone from Bristol ? Thanks with regards.

rc helicopter club in Bristol ?

      Check this page

      http://www.bmfa.org/clubs/clist.php

Put the county in the drop down and you are away...

I would have pulled up the list myself but it appears to be flash or some other tech that doesn't work on an iPad.

      Hope this helps.

        Hi mate,

I don't think there any clubs in Bristol proper, there are a few close but I think they are mainly plane orientated.
I live in Bristol, and have never found a club, I taught myself. If you need any advice or help just ask.

Hi guys thanks for the info i'd already looked there and there is a heli club in bath, some up filton way and one in gordano which although not really far away its about 30mins drive so was hoping for something a little closer. iceuk which side of bristol are you? i've just got back into flying the heli's after being away from them for about 5 years so am a little rusty, but thought it would be good to meet up with a few heli pilots.
I've got an align 450 plus that i've set up for 3D but i'm finding that the trim changes constantly ie it'll want to move off forward and right then with a little trim it'll be ok for a little while the want to drift say left and then later back a little. so its a little annoying. I got the heli second hand and reset the servos etc as none of the links were at 90deg when at 0 pitch which helped alot, but I've also noticed about 0.5-1mm in vertical play in the main shaft which I think might be causing my problems

as i've been out of it for so long it'd be nice to have some one else cast their eye over it

          Andy

PS also where do you fly?

Woodspring in Clevedon - are getting much more heli friendly now as there are heli pilots on the committee

PM Hellraiser on here, he is on the committee at woodspring and is also membership secretary for Bath model Heli club, who are based in corston just on the otherside of Keynesham so depends on what side of bristol you are

There are are few clubs in the south west, but none in Bristol itself as far as I am aware. Whereabouts are you? (Haywards Heath is not Brizzle??)
