  • looking for help

well ive been into this hobby for 4 months now and loving it.
I have a falcon and hovering quite well, however since a slight bump things have gone a bit pear shaped!
So im looking for some local help for a few reasons.
first i want to get a lot out of this hobby and want to learn loads,so the only way is to talk and have help from someone with experience that would like to help a beginner.
second for someone to enplane and show me how to setup a heli and tx (dx7 and hurricane 550). with all the relevant info, how to use a pitch gauge ect.

    Well thanks for reading.

    Adrian (crewkerne somerset)

I live in yeovil and the WHL aeromodellers club would be the closest one for you as they have a field they use just outside of merriot, i go there most weekends on sundays.
I haven't got the chairmans contact details to hand but i can get them for you on Monday.
To be honest if you are looking to fly the hurrican it is not the sort to fly down the local park as it could cause serious injuries, also by joining the club you will get liability cover also by joining the BMFA.
As for setting up your TX to heli, I could have a look for you and try to help but i ain't no expert but i have a DX7 on mine, but the Hobby hanger in Yeovil might be able to.
          Hope this helps

            moomnman,

Thanks for that it would be a great help if you could give me some help/addvice.
The hurricanes built but not set up as im not that experienced yet in setting up the tx and curves ect.
It would be fantastic if you could let me know on club details.would they accept beginners?
you can contact me at . adriancallow@hotmail.co.uk.
            Many thanks.

I can take a look at the hurrican for you if you like, i will be free tomorrow if you wanted to bring it in to yeovil.
Begineers are fine at the club, best thing to do is pop there one time when people are flying.
Give me a bell on 07828 409280 some time and we could have a chat about it andd your heli
