Buzz flyer se problem fault finding ?

I currently have a problem with it that am trying to figure out which is the faulty part ? So can order a replacement.


Basically the transmitter syncs to the helli good and the right hand stick pitch and yaw all work great you can see the head and servos moving.
But when I try and apply power (throttle stick) to the main motor and the tail motor neither will spin up ? So basically I cannot takeoff anymore.


I am guessing it's the receiver that is at fault ? And not the transmitter but looking for your input on what it could be. Or how I could test the transmitter ?


The motors do not appear to be getting any voltage input when I move the throttle stick up or left and right.

if you have a multi meter id check to see if you have any voltage going to the motor from the main board as the common prob was the main motor brushes burning out if your still using the stock brushed motor

You need a multimeter. Faultfinding is too difficult without one. I'd buy both motors and a new lipo to start with. If you change all three you should be ok. You need to have spares to swop over to find the fault and you will need them eventually. It could also be a loose or dirty connection. An old lipo may look ok but not give enough volts under load.

Have already measured the voltage onto the main motor, which reads 0v when the throttle stick is fully up. Would expect some form of voltage reading

Which leads me to suspect that I'm getting nothing out the reciver to the motor. as the reciver and ecu all packaged into a single unit I expect it's this, just wired how the pitch and servos work but not the throttle

What's the lipo voltage. It could be too low to run the motor.

I'm not familiar with this heli, but could this be something like the ESC not arming the motor because it is not seeing 0 on the throttle stick due to trim or poor calibration?

I have a Walkera V100D01 which is effectively the same as the Buzzflyer FE. Assuming that the SE has a similar setup, then the ESC is separate to the 2-in-1 unit (receiver and gyro). If I remember correctly, the only motor connected to the ESC is the main motor and if that is the case, then since neither the tail or main motor are working (and unless the problem is as Mark_T has suggested or your lipo has gone bad as cjcj1949 alludes to), then it sounds like the 2-in-1 unit has failed - although it is possible the transmitter is at fault as you suggest. However, if I have remembered incorrectly, and both motors plug into the ESC, then more investigation will be required - in which case, it might be worth sending it back to Buzzflyer (if they'll check it over for a low fee). Are you able to upload a few pictures with the canopy off?
