  • First Lesson

    Good morning all.
Its a great day and in just under 2 hrs I will be leaving for my first flying lesson. By this afternoon I should be doing inverted auto's!!! It will be that or packing it in a bin liner.
Stuart I still haven't heard back from the chap with the Robbe Futura. It sounds like a good deal so I will need to push him on. I only have one heli now the other has gone to my brother, who is very excited about the whole thing.

    Mack,

Good Luck with the inverted auto, its not as fearful as you'd think. Just make sure you have enough height too roll out and windup the head again.

You'll love the FuturaSE if you can get your hands on it.
    Cheers
    Stuart

        Hi Mack.
I do not know whether you are still after the original Futura SE that you first spoke of, but after reading that Ansis had given you the option of purchasing that Futura he owns and is up for grabs, I can personely give you the assurance that in knowing that particular machine, and the honesty of Anstis in what he sells, you would have to go a long way to beat this offering.
I believe that belonging to a site such as this gives us great security in the knowledge that you will not be short changed on any transaction you care to make from within the site, having myself purchased gear from elsewhere that came nowhere near the sellers stated description, it is comforting to be able to purchase items from rcheliaddics site in the knowledge that they are from another likewise and honest flyer.
        GOOD FLYING.

The lesson went well and the heli came home in one piece. It makes a big difference with a buddy line and a pro helping you out. Didn,t make it to the inverted auto, maybe next week. I got through 4 tanks of fuel and a battery.
Hi Likansuk. The lessons are from beginners to advanced, done in Epsom. Look up heli-lessons on the net and you should find them.
Antsis pm me with the details.

              Hi Kiwipilot
I used my Nexus 30 and the FF9. I have heard a lot of bad talk about the Nexus, but today, that was all put to rest. Set up properly it flies really well.
The guy training me was able to hover it for a moment hands off. It can,t be that bad.

                Hi Mack,

I too started with a Nexus, yes maybe not the best heli in the world, but at a time of when I was putting it in a black bag to go home more times than I care to remember. It served its purpose, which was to get me confidently in the air. I then moved onto the Raptor 30 V1 and the rest is history.

Stick with it and after a while you know when its time to move on.
                Cheers

                  What was the instruction like?

I made comms with Nigel before xmas to arrange some nose-in lessons, but have yet to book anything.

If you're ever looking to carpool out there I'd be a starter for tagging along, even if to only watch and learn.

It's amazing just how much info you can take in after a day at the field.

Epsom in Surrey. He told me to give him a call when I wanted to go down there. Seems happy to discuss what you want to do beforehand.
