  • Advice needed

Hi, had a cx2 for a few weeks now and enjoy flying it. As i'm completely new to this can anyone recommend any books worth reading. Also how difficult are they to build and set up. Really want a T-Rex 450SE but will buy Phoenix sim 1st.

    Thanks

To be honest all the information you can possibly want is on the internet you just have to find it. I wouldnt say a kit is difficult to build you just have to take your time to make sure everything is done properly. Getting the sim first is a good decision and will be invaluable in the future.

      Hi
Lee is quite right about the info on the net. this has the added benefit of being up to date. the trouble with books is that they quickly become out of date and indeed are sometimes out of date when you buy them. When i was thinking about getting into remote control planes years ago i bought 3 or 4 books but when i read them and them looked inside an actual plane the plane had all sorts of stuff that wasnt mentioned in the book.

Take the advice and look on tinternet IMHO

These tech and build videos are invaluable

My Trex 450 SE V2 flew first time with only one click of trim after following the Finless build instructions.

There is also a load of great material here

Just saw you are on the Wirral - do you fly with a club? A bunch of us in Deeside MAC fly indoor helis on Friday nights at the clubhouse (Gayton).

Thanks for the links. Only been flying for a couple of weeks. Just had a look at the Deeside MAC website and would be interested in seeing some people fly their helis (need all the help i can get !). Don't like flying in the house and have been trying to find a more suitable location.

Well I'll be at the club on Friday at 8:00 with my Twister Medevac and a Phoenix setup (laptop, DX7, Benq projector and screen). If you fancy meeting the rest of the guys, PM me and I'll give you directions.
