  • Why is my aileron control controlling my throttle part 2

I reset my transmitter and I have checked my transmittter everything is fine, correct model, the servo set up says throttle control is by the correct stick. But when I move my righthand stick it powers the blades.

    Can I reset my 3GX?

That sounds to me like you've got it plugged in wrong. Sounds like you've got the ESC plugged into the Aileron socket ?

      Hey.

Is your transmitter set to mode 1 (throttle on right stick) when you want it to be set to mode 2 (throttle left)?

      What transmitter are you using?

Assuming your transmitter is correctly set and you have followed the servo connection instructions found in the pc manual, then the throttle should be on the left stick.
I'm sure it's something simple you've missed, double check the transmitter mode type and then go through the 3GX setup again. Perhaps even start with a blank model memory so you are starting the setup from a clean slate.

If your transmitter has a servo monitor page check in there what bars move worth what stick input.

Thanks for the replys. I am using a DX8. When I go to the servo set up screen everything seems fine throttle is on left hand stick up and down.

How do I check if I am in Mode 1 or 2 please?

Pretty sure we went through all of this last week didn't we?

Simple test, just look at the servo monitor on the tx, with the heli turned off.

Move the right stick, does the throttle channel on the monitor screen move?

If it doesn't then you just have the ESC plugged into the wrong place.

              I am in Mode 2

The servo monitor shows the throttle is on the left stick as it should be.

The throttle was on the left stick to start of with. I do not know what I have done to make it go to the right stick.

As I asked above, does the monitor screen show the throttle channel moving when you move the right stick?

No only when I move the left stick. I think everything went wrong when I tried programming the ESC.

Trace the 'servo' cable from the ESC, which socket is it plugged into?

                      Hey.

Are you using a separate receiver or satellites on the 3GX?
If a separate receiver you may have the connecting patch leads connected in the wrong locations, it could even be a faulty receiver if you are using a separate one and all other connections are correct.

Let us know a bit more about your setup if you can regarding equipment you're using on the model.

Just to help, if I find the same picture in colour I will replace it. But this one shows the various patch lead connections assuming you are using a seperate receiver.

I have the wires from my 3GX going to my Spektrum AR8000 box as follows

                          Blue Aux 1
                          Yellow Aux 2
                          Green Rudder
                          Orange Elev
                          Red Aile
                          Purple Thro

also plugged into the AR8000 box is a small square box with a small wire coming out of both sides.

I have nothing plugged into Ant 1 or Ant 2 on the 3G box

                          Thanks for all the help

                            Thanks for all your help

The servos were wired up wrong. I do not remember altering them.

Everything seems fine I wil carry on with the set up tomorrow.
