The latest Phoenix update!!!

I've just downloaded the new update 1.05C beta and since doing so my PC has been acting strange, the cursor on this right page moves offset to the mouse movements, while running Phoenix, never did before, plus before the update the Sim ran lovely and smoothly, now it runs it like its an old 486 machine with bad CPU drag.

Example as you fly a heli it sticks for a split second the comes back only the aircraft is that little bit further in the distance.

My machine is a P4 3.0ghz, 1gb DDR2 RAM and a 128MB Graphics card, as I say it's ran like a peach since before this update, now the whole machine runs like a pig when its running including the program itself.

Any ideas chaps.

I loaded that up date on a month back and the same happened to me bud , deleted whole phoenix programm and then reloaded up to the 1.4g and the system runs fine again. Only prob is im scared to load another up date now incase it re occurs . Not a solution to your prob but there is a problem and a few more out there will be having the same thing happening to them id think

That was going to be my next course of action, it's a relief I'm not the only one it's happened to, but as you rightly said, it makes you cautious about downloading another of there new updates.

The graphic front on the program was tip top, excellent ripple effects over the water, I know it isn't important but all the the fixes in the latest update wasn't going to make the program run any better than how it was running before.

I always say, "If it isn't broken......" (It will be after the next update)

high guys i did a reinstall and all was ok. dont forget to delete the phoenix folder in my documents.
the latest updates have installed ok

Thank you Ron, I've just deleted the program, plus the downloaded set up file for the latest update.

I have the last update before this one stored in my Phoenix folder along with the other aircraft I downloaded from there site.

Just about to load her back on, I can't live without my daily Phoenix Fixes now mate, I'm well and truly a flying junkie.

If I can please share my progress too date.

Remember me saying after the wow factor of the program sunk in that I couldn't keep the heli's in a fixed hover and that they always went off on a tangent.

Well now, before I adjusted any setting in the edit suites I took up the Trex 450 in its default mode, when I first started to play seriously to train for my Blade 400 I couldn't keep her still whatsoever.

So I thought OK the programs fresh off the disk let's see how I can 450 fly it now, and to my absolute delight there she held in a perfect tail in hover, I done a circuit brought her back to a hover, land, up again for a fast spin round the field, again back to a stop, then I done some minute maneuvers while in hover, and landed once again, to say I am chuffed to bits is an understatement.

I feel like I've really made some progress in basic heli control, OK this is the sim and real flying has the "oh shit" factor, but a week back I couldn't even hold anything there at all.

Not as it'll help but my specs are 3ghz p4, 512 ram and 128 radeon 9550 card. below spec and runs smooth as ya like.

Could try going into control panel and click on software explorer, this will give you a list of all programs currently running etc and let you disable them from starting up at boot up. Basically anything running in the background that isn't a must wants to be turned off.

Your be amazed how many registry errors you might have, spyware etc, use the update function to receive the latest updates, this really is a gem for a freebie and works wonders with XP

I also use BoostXP which I had to pay for, this is also an excellent management program for keeping everything tip top.

Between the three of them your system will stay bug free and uncluttered forever more.

Can you please try updating your graphics-card drivers to the latest version from the manufacturer's website, and let us know if this fixes the problems you are having.

I run mine on a Amd barton core O/c'd to 2.5ghz(need to unlock the multiplier and get my water cooling back on and wind it up some more hehe ) with 1gb ddr low latency matched pair mem and 6600gt running on a Raptor sata hdd and it's been doing the same with mine since the update ... gonna reinstall it all later and see if that cures it

Yes reinstalling it, then only loading the 1.05b update, solves the problem completely.
