I don't know much (anything) about this particular heli...
When you lift off, does it spin violently around?
Does it have a gyro - if so, it could be that the gyro sensing is reversed?

    Cheers,

hi vic, you need to let the gyro set when you plug the lipo in.
to do this turn on you tx, make sure the rudder trim is in the middle because sometimes the gyro wont set if it isnt. put the heli on a level surface and plug the heli lipo in. dont touch any of the sticks. dont move or knock the heli for about 15seconds. in this 15secs you will see the gyro flash red while it sets itself. when it is set it should stay red. you should be ready to fly.

if the heli turns with the rudder trim in the middle then you can move the tail servo on the boom to stop this. use the rudder trim on tx for fine adjustments.

i think the switch on the gyro should be rev

check this vid and the others he has made
      [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dh30iHwx4GY[/ame]
he has about 5 or 6 king2 setup vids

dont touch that switch on the top left of your tx. thats for 3d and the blades will spin even at lowest throttle/collective position. the switch should be pushed away from you.

      hope this helps - matty

ps - welcome to the esky crew

the other thing with these is the gyro actually setting, if the light dont stop flashing, it aint setting.

You need to have throttle at zero plus trim at zero and let it set before touching anything else. plus if you have a dodgy or low power in the battery ie not charged or on its way out it wont set either.
        All the best
        Tony.

I know they gyro on the Belt CP takes about 10 seconds to initialise... this could be the same thing?
Make sure you don't move the heli during gyro initialisation
          Cheers,

If after trying all that has been suggested you are still struggling why not get yourself down to a club and see if there is anyone there who can help. Harrogate is in Yorkshire isn't it, well there's HARROGATE MODEL FLYING CLUB which apparently is OK with helis so why not contact them to see if you can get some advice.

            http://www.harrogatemfc.co.uk/

There may be a more specialist heli club around but I don't know the area.

Joining my Club was the best thing I ever did in addition to getting phoenix flight sim of course.

              Similar problem

I had the exact same problem with the honeybee king2. It turned put to be the rudder servo and no matter how much trim I added it still spun.

The way I cured it was to move the rudder servo further down the boom. Although this heli is supposed to be ARTF, It's far from it and you still end up doing the things that are suposed to be already done in the factory.

                king2

Thanks for all the help guys.
I've found that the tail rotor belt is worn, don't know how, haven't been in the air yet,so I'll change that and see what happens, the giro is working ok and the servo seems to be in the right place with the rotors.cheers vic

I know this is off topic, but I've been flying the HBK2 on Phoenix, I trimmed the tail just a little and I have to say it's a superb heli to fly, the Phoenix models usually mimic the real machines down to the last detail and if so, I wouldn't mind having one of these myself sometime this year.
