Mostly its a case of making a bitza from parts of other models, or making your own scale fus if you want something unique.
To make a decent rotor head etc then you would need lots of accurate machining equipment.

Yep. mostly on the small scale micros, there are heaps of people making fuses for them.
From carved out foam, thru paper right up to moulded in clay then vacuum formed into lightweight plastics. Anyone seen that little Airwolf on Helihobbies banner ads? That's my mates home made fuse on a cut down Ikarus Pic. He's currently in the process of making a scale fus for his Walkera 4#3 and I think he even did an airwolf fuse for his piccoz!

There are plenty of guides and build threads on RCgroups in the micros section. I don't have any bookmarked but I might be able to post some up later on this evening when I can chat to Airwolfie about it

Edit: I see your from Hemel, is old town models still going? I know they moved up to the little shopping complex up the hill but had heard they were shutting down after the father died , any news on that?

I'm not sure, they moved a couple of years ago. There was one in gadebridge, i'm not sure if that was where old town models moved to. I'll have to go and have a look :S Might be able to swing by there a little later actually, i'll let you know ^^

edit: Just tried to PM you Sao but it won't let me :/
