We used to fly 3D fixed wing, now Alex has his professionally rebuilt and Blinged Flybarless 600 Nitro, and a 700E HV being ordered next week. All this in just four weeks from saying "I am bored witth planes, lets try helis"

I don't know about seeing the light, i think its more like you see the light and its life in High Definition at lightning speed....

well' had a bit of a blow to the budget. SWMBO 's horse has problems and we got hit with a vet bill and he has got to have meds all the time to treat his arthritus. The insurance are no longer willing to pay. Its gonna take me a while to build up funds again. So for now I will continue flying the 130 and get as much stick time as I can and will sell the mcpx to fund some bling and extra batts .

Thank you , I shall carry on and enjoy the 130 and dare I say it the planks untill i get back into a disposable fund postion.

The horse has just cost my budget and some in 2 days but there is hope for him , he had better get well or I will have him stuffed and blades fitted to him-! How big would the blades need to lift a horse I wonder ?

Not sure about a horse, but it's been done with a cat for a good effect. I've heard elfite is coming with RTF catcopter soon. Just search youtube for a flying cat.

About a heli - there are really good 500 size second hand deals here which fit within your budget (when you get it back).

Well , all joking aside the horse has not got any better. Its time to say good bye on Thursday We are gutted and yet more cost! so thats it for this for this year gonna have to mothball my other toys for now and spend some time with the Wife as her hobby will come to an end.

Will stay around and read and learn as much as I can until things pick up, Great forum guys.

Align are due to release a rtf 450 dfc that has a belt driven tail and comes with a futaba made radio which can be used for other models too, battery and charger very soon i believe ...its quite an impressive looking bit of kit as rtf's too..add to that the good availability of align spare parts

Thanks but by Thursday its gonna cost us about 2k so no money left other than to eat and heat . gonna have to sell a few too .

Well that has been the worst 2 weeks of my life so far . In a strange way the insurance have paid out for the value of the horse . As a thank you from the wife (for me being there and dealing with all that must be done) she has given me some funds to get a larger heli,, so its not much but has anyone got somthing about £ 250 ish that would get me started ? I know im prob asking the inpossible but its worth a try .

Hi,

A friend of mine has a T-Rex 450 Sport that he never uses as he now flys planks, I am sure he will let it go for about £200, I can get the details of him but it is a nice helicopter, I think he has a case for it spare canopy, some spares and I think it even has a AR 6200 receiver as well plus batteries but I can not be sure let me know if interested and I will ring him up, it's flybarred.

The rchelicopterfun.com site as already mentioned is good. Also, take at look at the Helicopter Physics series on YouTube by "Smarter Every Day". Useful info, and some fantastic flying to watch! Music's quite good too

well , after a lot of contemplation and another model sold , I had a box arrive today with a T Rex 500 . I'm so excited a little bit of wee wee might of escaped !
