Is my swashplate broken?

ok so its taken me over a week to finally get my heli ready to fly
it only lifts off the ground max 3 feet and only for a couple of seconds im also having a bit of a problem trimming it. im wondering if the swashplate is busted
is the large ring supposed to be fixed to the smaller ring or do they move independantly? the way it is now theres not much movement on the controls

If i remember right from my medevac after a few crashes the swash plate used to start to come apart all you had to do was squeeze the 2 halves back together between your fingers and it would be fine again for a while,
The symptoms of this were exactly what your saying badly out of trim difficult to fly and re-trim
