I'm using a Flasher 450 Sport Head from Wings Wheels and Rotors that flies very well. Tracking is quite good. I was checking it over and found there was a gap between the thrust washers when assembled which was the cause of the slop I'd noticed. Other heads seem to have the opposite problem with too much pressure when done up tight. The Align Sport head I have, now unfortunately bent, has a shim fitted and the pressure feels right. I don't remember reading anything about shimming the thrust washers, can anyone give some guidance on what shims to get and where to fit them. I assume between the copper washer and the outer thrust bearing.
