  • Belt cp v king 2

    Hi all!
Ive been flying a Twister Hawk for a few months now and want to upgrade.

Two Heli's come within my budget Esky Belt CP and the Honybee King 2.

Im not that interested in 3d flying at the moment I just want a Heli to hover and do figure of Eights with.
    Any suggestions?

    Many thanks

ive had the same dillema up until yersterday.the problem with the honey bing king 2 is the motors burn out quick (so ive heard) and the belt cp comes with brushless motors.so for the extra £20 i wernt for the belt cp.

    all the best

andy's right + the belt cp is bigger and is abit more stable outside. the belt also comes with a bigger lipo and has a longer flight time than the king2.

very please with my belt cp - just recieved my carbon blade set today for £27 (main, tail and paddles)

come on, join the esky crew

Thanks guys! there is one thing I forgot to add! I did have a Mini pred for a very short time, not one of my better idea's! jumping in at the deep end I think they call it.
So I think it will be the Belt cp then, I would love a Blade 400 but not enough funds at the mo.

        Once again many thanks

just noticed you only in mansfield - you can come and have a look at my belt cp if you want. im in belper - not far from you at all.

have you got the phoenix sim? if not then maybe you should think about getting it aswell as a blade cx2. you can fly the cx2 in the house and use the cx2 transmitter on the phoenix and put in loads of stick and save up for a blade 400 or a trex450sev2. if you did this then you shouldnt have any problems by the time you have saved up for a larger collective pitch heli.

Yes that is the dilemma I have, do I get the flight sim or the belt cp?
I cant afford both, as Ive said I have been flying my Hawk with some good results so I don't really need the cx2, but the flight sim is a good idea I must admit.
Your vid is good, thats the sort of flying im interested in, not chucking the thing about like a rag doll.
Thanks for the invite! I will take you up on that in the new year, maybe bring my Belt cp if I have one

              hi silverspeed,

i would go for the sim option personally (and i did!)

i had a twister bell 47 (pretty much the same as ur hawk) and then i got a sim (phoenix, all on here will agree its best).

While i played with the twister indoors and practised flying the 50 size heli's on phoenix. i saved up all my money so i could afford a 50 size nitro and all that goes with it! by this time i had progreesed on the sim and so flying the 50 for the first time was easy!

personally i think this is the best option.
              cheers,
