Hmm, well it's not a Pro. It's a SE, or whatever CX called their SE clone.
Can I ask what you paid for it?

Sorry - don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with SE, just not a Pro!

It looks okayish, but there is something going on with the elevator servo mount, doesn't look like it's fastened correctly. The gyro is good couldn't see the tail servo type, can you let us know. I don't think the price is too bad, what tail servo is it? What's written on the ESC, the bit at the fron with the clear plastic and wires that go to the motor? It looks like a Turnigy Plush

You need a different manual though

Well, it looks clean and possibly unflown, which is a good thing. £120 - probably a tad high but don't beat yourself up over it. On the plus side the SE is an easier heli to work on, but parts are beginning to get a bit thinner on the ground.

But..... the thing with helis is they need to be built well and set up well. The normal procedure is to assume the previous seller made a pigs ear of the build unless you know they are competent, which in this case you don't. So in that case it means a complete strip down and rebuild, using threadlock where necessary and doing a radio/heli setup. That may sound like a pain but it's a good way to get to know the inner workings, find any problems, and prevent a blade flying off at high speed and hitting someone.

There are 3 things you should seriously consider doing:
Get a blade MCPX, it will bind to your DX6i and is a great little CP trainer.
Get a sim, phoenix is great, but there are cheaper or free options.
Find a heli club and get some help.

Any and all will be a help. Going it alone can be done, I did it, but it's potentially a frustrating, expensive and even dangerous way to do things. A 450 can take cut you to the bone.

This looks like a CopterX 450 SE V2. You'll find a manual to download quite easily via a Yahoo or Google search. I would also recommend you download the Align Trex 450 SE V2 manual as this gives much better guidance for setting things up. IMO...If you have never flown before do not even try to begin on a 450! And I'd strongly recommend you find a local club, they'll enjoy helping you to set things up and help you get started. Take heed of the recommendations above (e.g. using a simulator, getting an mCPX); they are from people who know what they are talking about.

No, not at all, don't give up on it. It's a good heli for the money.
We're just saying that setting up a kit heli like this takes time and effort, and a bit of research. If it's your first time then it's going to be a bit daunting, but you can't afford to rush it or miss bits out.
You've got Phoenix - excellent, in that case you're already on the way. You'll find a lot of flyers with helis like yours, and also much bigger more expensive helis, also have a "beater", something to hone skills on that isn't dangerous and is cheap to buy and crash. The MCPX fits that bill.

What other helis have you flown?

OK, great. Some will say if you can fly a bee you can fly anything
Here's a simple wiring guide, true for most CP helis including yours:

                          5101_10277_1401_spektrum_connection_1_1_2.jpg
Also follow the DX6i manual and the video (and the others in the series) posted by waveydavey.

The Esky helis don't need the in depth setup because they are (supposedly) RTF, in your case you have a decent computer radio setup so need to set everything up.

Looks a nice little heli that,
Take your time setting it up, don't rush to fly it until you are confident you have everything adjusted properly and moving in the right direction.
Also don't forget to disconnect the motor when playing around with the set up!

                              Good look,

I've never come across that servo before, but looks like a Chinese clone. Not a bad spec and it's worth a go.

Theres nothing wrong with the Se V2 at all so carry on with it. As for the channel wiring, you need to look through the manual for the heli, it will show you the layout of the cyclic servos, from here you can plug the correct servo in the right channel. Aileron to aileron, elevator to elevator and pitch to Aux1 on the receiver. The rudder plug on the gyro goes to the rudder channel, this will be a female servo plug, the rudder servo goes to the male plug on the gyro. Then the single yellow from the gyro to the gear channel. The last one is the ESC lead which goes to the throttle channel. Please make sure that you disconnect the motor from the esc before turning on. You then need to set the model up following the video above. If you didn't get any manuals with the heli, then please download them off the net, read them, read them again, and then keep them close for reference.

When you think you have it setup then let us know how it's going, or if you have problems with the setup ask away
