It was great fun over Crimbo though and both her bro and me are looking at upgrading from our current models (he has a 4 channel one that's a lot better than mine at the mo).

joe. everybody has a different idea of where to start.
i started with a minipred before i found this forum and believe me that was a big mistake(helicopter wise).so i bought a trex hde cheapest model not perfect but i could land it occasionly. then i read posts about raptors being stable and the bigger the better. so off i went and ended up with a raptor 30v2.till then all id done was crash if the pred left the ground it was toast every time!. i blew around £200 repairing it.the trex was better but not the answer i looked for.
so imagine i lifted off with the raptor(after having it test flown by richieclarkie)and wow this is p!44 easy i thought. so i hovered up down left right all tail in then a little sideways 45degrees!! YEESSSS now here i was a rc helicopter pilot. two and a half gallons later off i went on my first circuit up turn left nice stall turn w.t.f its sliding sideways hell thats quick .but dont worry ive done it on the sim! then my brain says whooo this is going to be expensive and tells my thumbs i havent done enough to compensate. the lying ba$2ard...i had!!!! but now my precious rappy is just another minipred on its way home . since then ive bought a medivac and my confidence was back with a bang. then a 600n came. then a blade cx2 now one heli i thought i would never fly again a400 size electric!!
now the moral of this story........................ out of all the heli's i have the cx2 has flown and taught me the most! by miles!! ive been in this hobby a year now and i estimate im about £2500 in.and yet that little £115 heli is the best money i have spent it flys every day no matter what the weather( car rental companys look at me as if im mad when i ask if they mind me spending my break hovering a helicpoter in their garage), i chose it over the medivac simply because i can bind my dx7 to it.so missing a step works for some but not all. which is why we recomend what we think will help the most not the quickest route to a vario turbine!!
bloody hell you done all that in a year!! blimey. im in awe of your progression and thats true everyone has there own story which is what i love about forums that was a funny read
basically you are too impatient but cos you have jumped in at the deep end i bet you have advance way more than i could. i aint got the brains to earn that kind of money apart from anything. i havent got the balls to risk a raptor 30 or bigger yet until i know im ready its just too expensive for me i can bearly feed and clothe my belt cp at the mo.

im just a sucker for realism. ive not flown an rc plane yet but if i did it would have to be a proper one not those where you can only turn with rudder for example.

heres a link to the twister i got

            http://www.jperkinsdistribution.co.u...%20-%20Twister

or this one, which was released a month after i got mine so i should have done some research first and had an even better version for the same price.

oh aye your a la nice one lol didnt notice
well im a crappy pilot but i can do what i do with the belt cp, flying in circles a bit of nose in and flying left to right and back again at speed whatever thats called. at this point my heart is pumping with the belt cp but im at ease with the twister it so easy to fix.

i reckon you would be best with the blade im just ranting on here with my experiences you could do all of this in seconds and learn the harder side of heli without worrying about the tail etc.
