      Hi Sirio,
I would look at a DX7/DX8 with you flying nitro as gives you the chance to run a governor, unfortunately my nitro knowledge is lacking as I fly electric.

I also fly using a HiTec Aurora Tx but recently bought a DX8 for my bind n fly blade heli's & found it a lot easier to setup than my sons DX7 & you have the added bonus of updating it via a supplied sd card.

On the servo front, have a look at the DS610 for cyclics & DS620 or DS650 for tail & they can be found for a decent price & will be good enough to get your heli in the air

      Hope that helps

The best advice I can give while staying impartial is to go to a model shop and see which tx feel the best in your hands.

it is all about personal preference.

The only other deciding factor for me would be if you are flying in a club, what do the others fly with? you will have much more chance of getting useful help if you fly the same radio as the majority of the club.

I fly Futaba myself but some guys with really big hands struggle with them due to the switches being close together.

        hope this helps...

Hi Mate and welcome to the forum.

Sorry you did not get a reply from anyone sooner but it all depends on your title/header and time of posting as to what gets looked at.

Everyone on here is an enthusiast and willing to help anyone.

i have only been flying a short while still hovering with balls on! See my Raptor 50 photos. Brilliant machine stable and confidence inspiring I promise you.

I had a lot of advice from my local Heli Club and bought the Rappy with Savox servos and a Spartan Quark gyro. Several gallons of fuel later and I can swear by the servos and gyro and AT my flying ability!! Oh and I use a speccy DX6i fine at this stage but I know I will want extra channels and features at some point soon. The JR 8XG is gaining a lot of favourable comments at the Mo!

I am at work at the moment so will have a look at the servos when I get home and post the details and a link. Bought mine from Kings Lynn Model Shop at a good deal price and excellent service too.

BUT I really do recommend you find a local club and ask others what they use then they will be more able to help you with setup and settings etc.

I am sure others will post again soon bear with us someone will always get back to you eventually.

          Happy Landings

EDIT Sorry i obviously type too slowly!!!

I must admit I did not see you original post, don't feel down beat it is very easy for a post to get lost.

I bought the same kit as you so if you do need some help or advice just let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.

Personally I fly Spektrum, a DX6i will be fine although if you can I would go for the DX8. I started with a DX6i and quickly updated to a DX8 so just have a think about it before you go and and spend some of your hard earned.

            Other things to consider -

            Servos - I used align 4 x DS610 for cyclic and throttle and 1 x DS650 on the tail.

Gyro - To be fair the one in the kit will get you off the ground but it's on the best. I swapped mine out for a spartan quark. Good gyro and you can pick them up on here for around £35.

Battery pack - I went for an align 2 in 1 with Lipo, easy to set up and use.

Starter - Align starter Is more than up to the job.

              Hi and welcome,
You won't regret getting a raptor, they're very good, reliable, solid helicopters. You'll have loads of fun learning! I'd recommend joining a club or atleast find someone who has some experiance in flying just so they can check your heli over when it's ready to go, and give you some tips. Failing that you'll get loads of information on here (it's unusual that a thread doesn't get a reply, especially for a new member, but I promise you there are plenty of good, kind people on here that are always willing to share theyre expert advice and you'll normally get a reply pretty quick)
As for equipment to fit in your heli, I don't think you'll go wrong with align servo all round. They're reasonably priced and very reliable. I'd recommend DS610 servos on your cyclic controls and a DS620 tail servo. The throttle servo doesn't need to be as high spec as these I've just mentioned but I think some people use a DS650 servo on the throttle (correct me if I'm wrong )
Personally I would chose a futaba radio, but that's just me. Spektrum is just as good too. However, if your going to join a club, it might be worth finding out what radio the majority of the members use, as itll be easier for them to help you set things up should you get stuck. I can't comment on the futaba T6J as I've not yet seen one. Alot of people have experiance with a DX6 and it has a very good name. The only problem I can see with purchasing a 6 channel radio set, it that you might outgrow it quickly, like alot of members have done and ended up buying a more capable radio.

I hope this info is of some use, any questions just ask, and im sure someone will have the answer.

That's 3 servos for cyclic, 1 tail servo and one for throttle.
I'm not a nitro man but it is a step in the right direction.
Don't forget you need nitro paraphernalia, plug warmers, starter + battery, RX battery, maybe a governor, not sure what the kits contains already.

                Something like this
                Remove Product(s) Qty. Total
                [ £160.16 ]
                [ £43.98 ]
                [ £269.00 ]
                Sub-Total: [ £473.14 ]
Just a trusty rusty Raptor E550 these days

Hi sirio, firstly welcome to the forum...as others have said it's easy for a post to quickly get bumped off the "recent" posts page which means that they might be overlooked. If it happens again then dod what you did and bump it back to the top and someone will answer

What kit to get depends on a few things in my opinion. What others near you (in a club which by the way I'd seriously consider joining as you get good support and the banter is as good as the flying usually!) use, what your LHS stocks, most importanly is how deep your pockets are. I'd advise getting the best you can afford at first as you'll always regret it if you don't. I started off with a DX6i and had to fudge the govenor a bit when I got a Trex 700 so I could keep flying it on the DX6i. I then got a JR 9XII which I was advised to get in the first place by my club mates

My first nitro was (well still is as I still have it) a Raptor 30. I was flying it with Futaba S3001 servos on all controls. This was the heli I used to pass my A test so whilst they're not the best servos they were certailnly good enough and probably still are for my ability As others have pointed out the Align DS610 & 650 servos are good ones, don't cost a bomb (there are ppl selling second hand ones on here, I've just bought some for my 700, if you're happy to go second hand to keep the cost down) and will have all the performance you're ever likely to need.

Transmitters are a different matter and come down to personal taste/feel I guess. If you want to fly the small bind and fly Blade series of helis for indoor/outdoor practice/fun (and itrritation ) then you'll need a Spektrum radio although though you can get a Spektrum module to plug into the back of your radio.

Gyros, Spartan Quark, Align GP750 are both prety good gyros.

Been waffling on there a bit....to summise, recomend you joining (or go along to) a local club to see what others use for support, decide how much you can afford to spend and look at the options that you then have within your price range then make your decision (or come back on this thread and ask )

as a newbee, going to a club helped so much,my heli got set up in 5 mins{thanks chairman},then of course i had to go home and have a small crash,{that would of been avoided on the trainer lead}reckon the money you pay the club worth every penny{and £100 in silly crashes},if you got more than one club check them out,see which one suits you,but it saves money in the long run.

Both spectrum and Futaba are great just get at least a 7 channel if not an 8 channel transmitter because of the govenor also I don't think a 6 channel has an option for a fail safe which I would recommend hope this helps.
