I am pleased that you have received your Lama, are you having fun with it? I think the best way to learn is little but often. I have been flying for nearly one year but had a few months off and you quickly lose the skill.

Yes mate i am enjoying it a lot...although i think i need more space to use it properly.

Managing to fly/hover at about two to three feet off the ground and do a few basic manouvres.Its really quite stable once trimmed.

Flew it into the wifes leg this afternoon and she was'nt impressed....especially as i was more concerned for the heli.

I am in the same position, had the lama flying about my living room since Christmas, and want some bigger space now, think id need some bigger space to try and fly it nose in, dont wanna put it in to my tv

Hey up folks,

Had the blade for a few days now... Been and bought some spare blades (minor collision with bookcase sokay, I didn't feel a thing ) and the training gear .

Anyhowz, I'm determined to 'pilot on'. I spent what semt to be a few hours but was actually just 3 batteries; sortin the trim. Got that sorted and was playing; just hovering and movin left to right (aileron control ). Then I moved on to Rudder movement and heres where the problem begins.

I set the heli in a stable hover (approx 4"-6" from the ground), then I go left rudder and the power drops so much that its the deck...same if I rudder right .

Any ideas?? Or do I just have to learn to throttle up as I use the rudder.

yep you need to learn to add small amounts of throttle as you use rudder. if your hovering well get it up to 3...4 feet you'll find it much more stable out of the ground effect. and also have more time to react to changes in height. little at a time your getting there!!

Cheers Ron, It's a bit of a learning curve..but funny with it. I'm glad I bought the blade; thanks to everyone who pointed me in that direction. Seems very stable in my hands and I own a Kwak which are not renowned for needing a gentle touch.

Just to let you know I received my lama v4 on Monday and it is great to fly in the house, just what I wanted. The only thing is that the battery is very poor. Do you know where is the best place to buy another one?
How you doing with yours, have you crashed it?
