I got dragged to Cosford, and now I'm hooked!

So there I was, minding my own business, and my Dad suggests I take him and my kids along to the recent model aircraft show at Cosford. Seemed like a cheap day out a the time, so why not? I was impressed with the scale planes flying around in circles, but what really took my eye was a couple of ex demo Twister coaxial helis, ahem...for the kids...

You can pretty much guess the rest, Dad buys himself a DX6i/Phoenix/Blade 120SR, and after resisting for a couple of weeks, I'm now the owner of a DX6i (thanks Rickyc83), with a cheap used MCX and what looks like a nice MCPX on the way to me via ebay.
I've put a fair bit of time in on the sim, and I'm reasonably good at nose in hovering and have just about got the hang of inverted flight. So I'm looking at taking the next step and getting a Tarot 450 v2 FBL. Yes, you've read that correctly, I've not flown my MCX or MPCX and I'm now seriously looking at building a 450 clone.

Feel free to call me mad, as I still don't know what an ESC does, and I'm pretty confused about what battery and charger to buy. Any tips on which charger and battery(s) to go for will be appreciated and also whether I should get them from Miracle-Mart at the same time as buying the heli.

If you do your research and pick the right parts clones can be fantastic value for money. People on here are always able to help with any questions you may have. The only stupid questions are ones that have not been asked
