  • Axion Excell 200 crashed - How to fix it??

    Hello everyone!
I hope someone can help me fixing my heli, long story short, I managed to fall out of the window of my 3rd flor flat... I know...

Now when I try to hover the heli spins like crazy anti-clockwise, the tail motor runs at full speed, but either that I give left or right rudder the heli keeps spinning like if I didn't give any input.
I'm wondering if I broke the tail boom or if I messed up something on the board, what you think?
Also, how can i replace the boom in case that is the problem? Do I need soldering skills?
    Thanks!

Ok..... I managed to make THE HELICOPTER fall out from the 3rd floor. Jokes a part, does anybody know how to repair or what I could do to identify better what I got broken?

Ive never seen one of those helis before, but it looks to me like it has a tail motor as opposed to the motor being driven by the main motor.

Does the tail motor work? does the tail rotor spin?

Check that the tail rotor blade itself isnt cracked or damaged. Make sure the shaft of the motor hasnt been bent from the impact.

This will probably be caused by something wrong at the back end of the heli, so examine it for damage carefully. If the motor doesnt spin, check the wires where they connect to the motor and also where they plug into the board at the front of the heli.

also try rebinding if you can!I dont know what TX these use.

Thanks for your reply! The tail motor seems to work better now that I rebinded. Before the motor was spinning always at the same speed independently from any input I gave to the rudder and the heli was spinning always anticlockwise. Now the heli doesn't spin as much as before, but as soon as I give it some rudder left or right, the crazy spinning starts again in whatever direction.
The shaft seems ok, possibly the boom was a little twisted after the impact, but I managed to straight it up...
If I had to replace the tail will I have to do some soldering work on the board or there are other solutions? My soldering skills are pretty bad.

Having looked up that heli, I see it's a renamed Century UK Nano SR...and I may well have the answer for you...on the the tail boom, check the tail motor mount. After a crash, the mount can get pushed down the tail boom toward the body of the heli a little, this will stretch the wires to the tail motor, that in turn causes intermittent power outs to the tail motor(even tho by eye it's still running). The answer is simple, gently, very gently, nudge the tail motor mount backwards on the boom, you will see the wires to the tail motor slacken(stop being stretched)...Robert is then your father's brother!

              hope this helped

Oh, and pop the rear vertical stabiliser fin off, they fly better without.
