And if you want a laugh you can laugh at my first experience with a rc heli, Raptor 30, similar size to 600 maybe a tad smaller, I got this heli bound my tx and THAT WAS IT!!! no setting up or nothing, I just expected it to fly, lent over fire her up, fortunately I had hold of the head and it started on full throttle I was able to stop the head from spinning but no matter what I did on the TX I just could not get it to stop running on full throttle, I even turned the TX off (-:

So I waited for five minutes whilst this rappy killed itself, all the time holding the head I could barely breathe because of the fumes.

Thankfully I have come a long way since then but those big helis really are scary mofo's
Plus one on the set up,the better it's set up the better it flys and you should never fly on your own just in case somthing like this happens if someone else had been there they could have pulled the fuel pipe.

Bet your pants had to go in the washing machine soon after that LOL.........

I panicked, it really was scary. The Mrs looked at me and we caught each others eye and I felt like Brad on the Titanic knowing I was doomed (-; It put me of Helicopters for about 5 years, then I got the bug again and this time I done my research,

It gave me a laugh, but it happened at our club last week one of the guys started his trex 600 up and for some reason went to full throttle with him holding onto the head I pulled the fuel pipe and stopped it but i really hate the smell of burning clutch.
The reason this happened was because he had selected the wrong model memory.
        Cheers Dave M.

Dx7s or dx8 will be the best for your set up.

I must admit, you are starting up with a beast of a heli........good on you mate, but make sure you get some help first, as this thing can do some proper damage to you and others.

As for the brown pans.......... well after a year of flying I still get them....lol.

P.S welcome to the forum mate.
