  • Difference and how set up Pitch

    Hi,
Can some explain the collective and cyclic pitch differences?

How you set up the collective?
How you set up the cyclic?

PS: I got a rough idea about the collective

Collective is all 3 servos working together to give the pitch required. The Cyclics are the amount of Aileron/Elevator pitch. All can be altered using the Swash mix on the TX or using the software on the Gyro if FBL with Beast VBar etc.
Been there and done that, but never stop learning.
Now too many Helis to mention?

Always set the collective with stick at centre on the tx, pitch graph 45 deg straight line, then you can set the swash level and the blade pitch at zero, servos centre of travel, and then you can adjust your plus and minus travel to give your plus and minus limits.
Cyclic pitch is done with the blades laying along the heli straight with the boom, set the pitch at centre and then move ail full left or right stick and messier the pitch angle, do the same with the ele but with the blades 90 degs to the boom

Going to basics here, but it's important to know also that when people saying "centre stick" that your TX is setup for a 0-100 linear pitch curve so that centre stick is indeed the neutral out put on the collective channel.

Yup, basically a linear straight line. so that 0% stick is 0% output.
