Thats the dumbest design I have ever seen, they could have done the same thing without having coaxial rotor systems, and probably cheaper

hi, yes we seen this not so long ago in another thread. looks sweet dun it.
i thought it would of had two lipos and two 4in1 units but can only see 1 lipo in the picture. not a bad price aswell. if i had 1 id have to bling it up with cx2 cnc upgrades and put 2 sets of xtreme blades on it.

yeah - id be happy if santa brought me 1 of those, and a x1950 ghraphics card, and microsoft flight simx, and a pcm reciever, and a airwolf fuselage, and a decent charger, and the phoenix sim and anew futaba transmitter.
oh i would be a happy bunny
      cheers

That's what I thought Matt, I think the Li-po is 1000ma but even still, with two main rotas that will knock any flight time to around 5 minutes a pop.

I'm purchasing one when there available, I'm thinking it might be a little more stable outside as well being heavier, and more powerful.

Oh well that's two heli's on my Xmas list. lol

Have you actually priced up the only other Chinook type heli that isn't coaxial at that size?

Revolution Models packs one out at over £1700, I'll stick with the twin coaxial one at £135. lol.

There was a similar thing by MS composit, that used two hornets.

Price isnt really the point, the point I was making was that it seems like a dumb idea, when you could get the same effect from two single rotors without having to use a coaxial system.

And that would be an IC one, 60 size motor IIRC, and huge.

I know mate, but it looks the Dog's B's doesn't it.

So if this CH-47 wanna be only had two sets of blades it would still be quite easy to fly, would this be because each Rota Head is rotating counter & clockwise to one another so the stability is still there for beginners to master without the need of a coaxial system?

                      I ask 'cos I don't know?

Are I see now what you mean, man that would be so cool if it was single bladed

It must be a cost cutting exercises making it contra then, as I'm sure the Swash parts and linkages are far cheaper to produce in twin coaxial types

                          Cheers Rob.

Yeah, must be cost cutting, but then again, its not exactly the normal way it would be done.

Thanks RH, you know far more than I, and I'm sure your correct.

But I bet some little China man thought "lets stick eight blades on this thing and reap the awards when they bust four or five in one sitting."

Oh well, it looks fun to a "no nothing much about heli's" kinda person like me.
