Get Phoenix RC and a descent Transmitter (TX) if ya havent already got 1. Then as Mark already said... Practise practise and practise!

I started learning to hover with a Twister CP V2 - crap arn't they!
After more than 12 hours of airtime I eventually managed to fly her in proper circuits, but she keeps trying to pitch up. That Gyro is almost non existant and I had to hold some tail input permanently, which made doing turns rather interesting.
So don't worry the Twister IS a handful.
Take my advice, dump the Twister and get a small proper heli like a Trex, its so much more rewarding than fighting to keep the Twister in the air......450SE Silver - Power: Neu1107-2Y + 10t pinion
ESC: Jazz 40-6-18 Gov.- Batts: 4s, FP 2100 20C. pitch +/- 11 (TC60 PC 0,25,50,75,100) HS2900
HS65Mg x3 + GY401 + S9650 tail
Rx: AR6200 - Tx: FF9Super(T9CP) Spektrum module
Progress Status - aggressive fff and loops
Crash count = 10 for 153
Trex time aloft = 19:45
-Twister Cp - Yuk!
-Blade CX2 - Yay

thats very true but the twister is so easy to repair its just a must have i think. there is a way of looking after the single tail motor so they dont burn out quick and those thin carbon rods that break easy, you can buy 2 meter lengths of it for £2 and replace the carbon boom with an aluminum one (get from building supplies shop). you can bounce it off walls without damage too a lot of the time so its perfect to learn single blade heli's.Originally posted by Rick Rotorhead View PostI started learning to hover with a Twister CP V2 - crap arn't they!

if he had a trex he would be on the phone ordering new parts after every session.joe

some tips from me practice all the controls on the floor. put it on a plate and get used to the rudder, keep the tail pointing towards you, it took me about 2 weeks to have the balls to take it up into a hover and i crashed, i think third attempt i managed to hold it there, but it takes a big crash to get this thing out of the air, you can fly it with the frame hanging off and even when its got a broken head.joe

I started with a twister, managed to get it hovering after about two hours flight time, then bought a Raptor 30v2 & after 2 gallons of fuel through it started doing figure eights. The bigger heli is definately easier to fly! Oh yeah, just remember to practice practice practice and have fun!!

hey tony, hows it going? how many flights you had this morning? you want to be doing 3 packs in the morning and 3 packs in the afternoon (at least). like the lads say - practice makes perfect.
by the way lads - tony is my uncle. he sorted/paid for my first real heli flight/lesson for me.
