I got a 300x on Tuesday and it finally got flight tested by the shop expert yesterday. He proclaimed it fit and well and ready for action and files like on rails despite the wind. So far my experience has been MCPX and Blade SR in CP stuff and I am still a bit apprehensive at firing up the 300x. The settings are as per the book but any advice on settings that will dumb down initial flights would be appreciated. I know rates have a different effect on a FBL machine and I am not sure what effect expo would have and how much to try.
On aileron and elevator I have 60% and 20% expo. I forgot to define a switch and wondered why he was so damn frisky. Checked and found I had it set to OFF. selected F-Mode as the switch for each and all was well. Make sure the graph changes to reflect your settings. Rudder is80 and 20.
Pitch curve is 48-49-50-70-90. throttle curve as book.
Thank's for that I will try those settings on one of the F-Modes. I have just tried a hover for the first time in the front garden with the stock settings. It went a lot better than I expected even though it was a little breezy. I only held it a few feet for about 15 seconds. Small garden and nosey neighbours.
Sick beds must be getting full at present, my Trex450 Sport has a spot of stripped teeth on the tail drive gear, couldn't find a local dentist either, so Align Trex must come to the rescue once again.
Been reading all the threads on the MCPX with envy (really can't afford the investment). I have a cheap v911 (Trex 100 clone) to fly inside and outside in calm weather. So keeping the thumbs up to par - I have Phoenix too but prefer the real world.

Hope your flying resumes soon.
I have been flying my 300X for a bit over a week, I love it! Couple of things I found over 20 flights is the servos can work loose, the mounting holes in the servos are larger than the screws. Also my mainshaft had some up and down float from the box. Other than that I've just kept flying it in the car park mainly, but I did take it out last Sunday to a club BBQ and it copes well with a gale!

Oh, and we have lots of parts in stock too, option canopies and all. We won't start unloading parts till Monday.
Motors & Rotors. The main parts were only released by HH this week, most of the big shops should be getting stock now.
I'm really taken by the 300X so decided to specialise in it a bit. I liked my T-Rex 250 but it was fiddly to fix, this looks simple and parts are a good price.
I need to try harder and crash it then I can see what breaks! Its in the car now so will have a back garden session soon.

That's good to hear as you are only 15 mins down the road from me
Don't really have the time to trawl through all the forums, but always available for advice through the email system motrot@aol.com
I am loving the E Flite heli's, the 450X and 300X have really impressed me, only the 130X to go in the next 10 days.
