just thinking a little out of the box...what about something bigger? I know it's probably going to cost you more in the long run but you won't buy a 500, then 550, then 600...etc There's some Fusion 50's on the FS thread at very good prices http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/sale/7...airframes.html You mentioned the build part, I've rebuilt all my 2nd hand helis and usually they have been dismantled for posting anyway. So you won't miss out on the learning aspect of building kits. Most of the other stuff needed is also on the FS thread and a bit of patience will usually get you what you need.

Hi Nick, to your point I was aiming at a 450HK clone and now looking at a 500 at this rate I could endup with a 700.... truth is I went with a mate to his club and when I saw his trex 500 take off I crapped myself so not sure I want to go bigger (well maybe when I stop crashing so much)....
But back to my original post I don't know the difference between all the different systems and electronics so its hard to buy second hand and build up... also I don't want to get a top of the crop heli yet as its a big jump from a mcpx and the learning curve is still very steep... why crash the expensive stuff! I still need to look at all my options so thanks for the suggestion.Charles - Align 500EFL Pro - Blade 130x - Blade mCPx v2 - Spektrum DX6i & Phoenix Sim

Ummm correct me if I'm wrong, but Gootch is slang for the piece of skin between your anus and your scrotum. Not sure of the aerodynamic abilities of this area but seems like an odd name for a heli.
Pay the extra get an Align, no unsightly hair, and they smell great.Mikes Place - Home of the golden dump.

Haha, Quality! So the ultimate fleet would be a Goblin and a Gootch?Originally posted by Swashbuckler View PostUmmm correct me if I'm wrong, but Gootch is slang for the piece of skin between your anus and your scrotum.
