  • What Heli is best????

    Hi guys and gals
Thanks for the help regarding the dx7 I am going for this once xmas is over but I have a new problem!!
What heli to get?? I have been advised that any 30 size is a waste of time as Ill just upgrade it so I want a 50 size heli but we have the trex 600 the hirobo sceadu and the Raptor 50 seriess plus others I dont even know available!! What course of action should I take as ive seen a couple of the original hirobo shuttle 30 size very reasonably priced!! and im sure in fact certain I will crash lol !!!!
    Thanks for the input

Knight sport must be the best value for money and flying
It's excellent for beginner and 3D alike

    Knight sport
OS Hyper / Muscle or Hatori pipe
    Futaba 401 gyro / 9254 servo
    Futaba 3152's cyclic / 3001 throttle

    When you progress then add:
    Header tank
    Governer / 3152 throttle servo

My sport does not have header tank nor governer and only 3001 throttle

show me a heli that will take you from learning to hover to this

not only does it do it, it does it accurately following the sticks and without upgrades

              there is only one.

Erm any modern heli. Raptor, scedoo, JR and align 600n

and in my personal opinion the 600n is the best sure the inital cost is a little more but latter on youll soon realise what that extra given you and hte fact the spares are cheaper and you also get of stuff so you crash but the spares and get enough spares to crash again.

                  ere we go again.

Raptor Titan requires a large lump of upgrades to get it to last. their plastic wears fast.

Sceadu wears fast especially the tail drive gears stock damping is also crap.

600n sport isnt as strong in the frameset as the knight, and requires upgrades to correct inaccuracies in the orriginal design and stock damping wears fast.

only downside of the knight sport is that there arent as many stockists but all the good online people do and providing the postman holds his side of the deal you should get stuff next day.

Exactly. In fact, I would say, Rule out a 50.

Beginners do not need a 50.

I agree a 30 is probably the best way in if your not a fast learner.
If you pick things up quick you will soon out grow it.
I have a raptor 30 v2 with os 37 & to be honest it's a bit under powered when doing mild aeros like loops & flips this isnt the heli it's my collective timing but a 50 would certainly help.

                          Raptor 30 V2.

Spares everywhere. People to help everywhere. Easily upgraded - not because you need to, but because you want to tinker.

Easy to work on. (just like my missus) Just bought my pal's Trex 450 XL and I got away with it a treat!!!!!!)

No flying today, went to the field, nearly got bogged down, spent an hour talking to SRH990 ( always informative ) and went home. Didn't even fly

-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

                            And a DX8 too
