A very great offer, responded with a PM!! To my understanding that is a Steal Right?
Cheers :-)
I would not say its a steal tbh but I think it is reasonably priced and know it works well. IMO its a much better option than buying a cheapie gyro for say £15-20 new and not knowing how well it is going work.
It sounds like you are fairly new to the hobby so if you do need a hand with setup etc at any point then feel free to give me a shout as I am just down the road

I would be careful offering your services out to a complete nooby LOL! you may get stalked!
Nah on a serious note, i am very new to the hobby, but i practice religiously every night on Phoenix.
I can now (Just) hover, but i have crashed a few times! i noticed my Tail holding Gyro doesnt quite hold ! lol so hence the Question! so the deal is a good one! (see PM)
Happy Days all i need is for someone to pop up and say 4 decent servos for £20 now lol!

It is a steal, especially with offer of it being set up for you. It's a great gyro I had one many years ago and it's certainly miles from the stock E-Flight one.
I bought a Futaba 401 on here on it made a lot of difference to me. My gyro on the Twister Storm was ok until it started to get cold, but I spent lots of time fiddling with the gyro which is not what you want when learning the basics. It wasn't too bad as my first heli was a cx2 which had an even worse gyro. I then lost three months due to a mysterious fault that kept causing a blade strike. It turned out to be one of the original servos that moved all on its own when the revs went slightly above idle. I changed to Hitec Hs65HBs for about £12 each. They are very good, they have karbonite gears that are a lot better than nylon and cheaper than the Hitec metal. I'm currently using the £6 Towerpro Mgs which are metal and seem ok. I'll probably go for digital next ready for flybarless.
Someone on this forum recomended them to me. I can't fault them, but I'm not that good a flyer. Cyclic servos are disposable as far as I can see, at least after a "heavy" landing, and as you get better the landings get heavier. Connecting servos directly to the blades and not using grommets isn't the best way to treat them, so cheap and cheerful is one way to go.
What did you say they were called? (part number) or a link i 100% agree with you! so i am going to do as you did! treat them as disposable for now! then i may upgrade to savox, ones or something!
Is there a particular one for the B400 or do i just buy 4 Servo's etc? (ie Digital ones etc)
Lastly were do you guys shop? fleabay or another site?
its ok saying you going to treat the servos as disopsable but going down the cheepy line will inevatably cost you more in the long run plastic gears strip very quickly even in a light crash metal ones do survive a lot better
Raptor 50 v2
Raptor 50 titan se
Raptor X50n to go in sea king fuz
Raptor 90
dsx9 mk2
600 size Sea king being built
Bo-105 in red bull colours waitng to be built
Im basically looking for a cheap cheap Metal Servo! im not going to be doing 3d for ages yet! i need something durable to be able to cope with my crashes! LOL! so if Towerpros are good for only that! then i like them
By the way wich ones fit in the B400?
Many thanks
They should be ok in a blade 400. They fit in a 450 clone. I can check they fit in my Twister Storm if you want or you could measure the mounting space. There are lots of servos that fit the Blade 400. Hitec HS65HBs are the same size.
Cheers Cj, i will have a good look at this stuff and buy something soon! just need to find a cheap flight box now and i am sorted i think! well untill i attempt to fly again lol!!
