  • Blade sr tail wag?

    Hi all,
Ive been thinking about getting the blade sr for my first collective pitch heli,
However I've seen many reports of tail wag issues? Can anybody shed some light as to whether this is a common fault with the sr or lack of good set up?

    Thanks,
    Rob.

The tail is very ropey on the Blade SR, not unflyable just not the best.

The reason for this is because it's motor driven and it can take a little bit of tweaking to set up properly. I liked my SR when I had it but I never had 100% faith in the tail. The other issue is the tail motors can last a year or a day, you just never know when it will fail.

Ah thats made things abit more clear, I actually purchased one these this morning and it should arrive on Wednesday! After what you have said i think I will stock up on tail motors to keep me going.

Like I say, it's not disastrous but it can be a little annoying. Are you buying brand new or pre loved?

Hi, yeah it seems to be great heli to learn with so I'm excited to see how it goes! The vid you have linked is very informative I'm quite surprised they don't come straight from the factory like that as it seems dead usefull! I will keep posting on my progress and (crashes)

              Cheers - Rob
