    Hi There

I am looking at a electric heli , i used to have a schulter 222 nitro about 25 years ago fancy getting back into it ,

i dont want to start with a small heli and work up to a better one , so i am looking at a align t-rex 450 se V2 , would this be a good choice to get back into helis after a long time out
( also is there any differance in the honkong / china ones )

    thanks
    phil.

Most say the 450 v2 is the best small electric currently available but you could wait another few weeks until it's slightly bigger brother is released, the T-rex 500. if you do a search for this there's a couple of vids floating around of the first flight testing.

A Century Swift 16 is a great starter too. Slightly smaller than 30 size.

Easily upgradeable from a cost-effective base.

Most will probably go straight to a Trex 600, but I think the Swift is too often overlooked. I really prefer flying mine to my Raptor.

Got to say the TREX 500 does seem like a nice heli, I would be cautious though. ALIGN are gonna sell bucket loads of these and parts will take a few months to become widely available. You probably will crash a few times early on and this may hold you back. Also flight times are going to be rubbish probably from what I can see, unless you invest in larger capacity packs which cost more.

The V2 is a lovely heli, and there is no reason why you can't learn with the V2. It's not as stable as some slightly bigger helis, but you can get it pretty good.
There is no difference between the far east versions and here if that helps.

I have no experience of the swift, can't comment on that.

Very important - GET PHOENIX FLIGHT SIM. then you are likely to save some money on crash spares.
